Carers

Carers play a valuable role in our community and their work often goes unnoticed.  We have "Carer Packs" available within the practice which gives information about support that is available.  Please ask to speak to any member of staff at the practice who will be able to signpost you to the most appropriate service for your needs.

Carers Northumberland is an organisation specifically dealing with carer issues in our area, why not access their website for more information.

If you spend all or part of your time looking after someone who depends on you because of illness, disability or frailty, then Carers Northumberland is here to support you.

Registering with carers Northumberland is FREE

Carers Northumberland website has a link to their registration form, information on services and events they have planned : Our Services (carersnorthumberland.org.uk)

Carer Catch ups are one off events that they run each month around Northumberland, they tend to plan them in locations where there is not a regular carer support group.  These catch ups are a great opportunity for carers to meet the Carers Northumberland information team, socialize with other carers and have any questions or concerns they may have addressed.

Unpaid carers may be entitled to personal protective equipment (PPE) free of charge. Please use this link for further information https://www.careplace.org.uk/Information/PPE_UnpaidCarers/

Bellingham Carers Support Group

They are a friendly group of carers and former carers who meet every month over a cup of tea or coffee for a chat and to share experiences
